Camping with three
This last weekend was Makenna's first time camping. We camped Friday through Sunday out at Lake Icaria. Makenna slept all night both nights; mainly because she was awake more during the day. The kids had so much fun. We took their bikes and there was a ladder game they enjoyed playing. Matthew took the two older ones fishing. From what I was told they didn't have the patients to sit and wait for the fish to bite. Michael found a mud hole down the hill of the camper that was a result from a rain shower the night before. Megan's main concerns were S'mores, riding her bike, and Makenna. Thank goodness for air conditioning; it was one hot and muggy weekend. I'm glad that we can carry on the tradition of camping with family. Those were the best times; fishing, paddle boatting, petting zoo, and the "bingo" song. The biggest difference for me is there is no tent! I won't go back to that! No more leaky tent and no more tent blowing down on me in a storm. Just comfortable and relaxing camping. Well some of the time.
